Job Context

  • There is a vacancy for the following contractual position based at LAMB Parbatipur;
  • Job Summary: Patient care in HCC, SDU and Satellite clinic and provide technical oversight of CHA/CMW

Job Responsibilities

  • To provide supportive skill supervision to the CSBAs/Community midwives working at the safe delivery units of UH-FWCs of LAMB working areas or SDUs.
  • To conduct regular assessment of the overall service quality of the safe delivery section of branch units in LAMB “Community Health and Development” and “UH-FWCs” in LAMB target areas (Key areas: general logistics, Partograph, BCC/information, Clean & tidiness, necessary equipment, infection control, waste disposal, drug supply and registers.
  • To ensure the protocols are being followed at the SDUs (eg. SDU protocol and infection control).
  • To keep records of feedback and to practice Beneficiary Feedback Mechanism appropriately.
  • To keep good coordination with Training Centre for update information, MIS-R for referral slips/feedback and verbal autopsy and hospital for good relationship and support.
  • To ensure patient satisfaction survey are being done in a regular basis and the results are analyzed by the SDU/UH-FWC management committees.
  • To attend Maternity Coordination workgroup meeting and inservices and any other meetings relevant to this job.
  • To provide updates to OD department in a weekly basis.
  • To attend monthly staff coordination meetings arranged by the relevant project for feedback and information dissemination.
  • To be ready to provide online support (mobile phone) and advice to the SDU service providers at any time.
  • To conduct Learning Needs Resource Assessment of the SDU service providers for further development of their knowledge/Skills/Attitudes.
  • To consult relevant project to keep budget for SDU staff’s refresher training by LAMB training centre to ensure necessary skill practice.
  • To provide support for ongoing learning of the service providers (CSBAs/Community midwives/community nurses/Ayas/FWAs/FWVs and other service providers).
  • To prepare learning centered lesson plan using 7 steps of planning format before delivering any learning session/workshop/orientation/training
  • To compile monthly monitoring report from the regular assessment for CHDP.
  • To compile half yearly and yearly report with the support of OD department for CHDP/projects.
  • To ensure that the SDU management committees are receiving supportive skill supervision to be able to take over the general monitoring responsibility of the SDU/UH-FWCs.
  • To keep herself/himself with LAMB policies relevant to the work
  • To work with OD department to update/review the SDU quality assessment format time to time
  • Any other tasks assigned by the department of relevant project (CHDP).

Educational Requirements

  • Diploma in Medical Assistant training course complete With BNC/BMDC registration certificate. Special training on supervision, monitoring and evaluation will be preferred.
