Job Context
  • The Reproductive Health MA will support the implementation of the IRC`s SRH programs in 2 Integrated Women Center in the Rohingya Refugee Camp. The MA will ensure the delivery of high quality sexual and reproductive healthcare services in 5 facilities through the monitoring and mentor ship of midwives located in the IWC. She will be responsible for programmatic, operational, financial, and staffing aspects for the health team, as well as representation with key actors in the field including the Ministry of Health, UN agencies and other NGOs. They will report to the Senior Reproductive Health Manager and will directly supervisor Midwives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Mentor midwives in the IWC on the following areas of RH:
  • Counselling and provision of Family Planning
  • Clinical Care for Sexual Assault Survivors
  • Syndromic treatment of STIs
  • Menstrual regulation
  • Provision of basic first aid for intimate partner violence.
  • Prepare program work plans in coordination with the Senior Reproductive Health Manager.
  • Conduct regular monitoring visits to the various project sites, ensuring that projects utilize standardized protocols, policies and guidelines, as outlined by the Ministry of Health and WHO. Identify technical quality and/or other implementation issues, and provide solutions and follow-up to ensure projects are on track to meet goals and are consistent with established best practices.
  • Ensure that the health program is implemented in line with the IRC principles: promoting and protecting rights, participation, capacity building, partnership and holistic programming.
  • Work closely with other IRC programs present in the same location, such as Women's Protection and Empowerment, Integrated Community Case Management, and integrate program components to the extent possible.
  • Staff Supervision & Development:
  • Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and provide guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions.
  • Provide nursing/medical support and mentorship to other staff, providing on-the-job training where needed.
  • Project Management :
  • Implement outreach activities with the rest of the team to access "hard to reach? and vulnerable beneficiaries to increase service utilization.
  • When available work with and support community volunteers to provide health promotion, community mobilization and awareness raising.
  • Ensure regular inventory and consumption tracking of medical drugs and supplies.
  • Work with relevant staff to ensure prompt requesting of medical drugs and supplies.
  • Coordination & Representation:
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local communities, local government agencies and other implementing partners.
  • Monitoring & Reporting:
  • Ensure all patient consultations are documented and patient records completed.
  • Other Duties :
  • Consistently and proactively monitor/assess the safety and security of the team; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to IRC management and liaising with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for IRC programs.

Educational Requirements
  • certificate or Qualified Paramedic with Paramedic diploma/certificate.
Experience Requirements
  • At least 2 year(s)
Additional Requirements
  • Age at least 24 years
  • Both males and females are allowed to apply
  • At least 2 years clinical Paramedic experience in emergency and primary healthcare.
  • Previous experience and training in sexual gender-based violence and clinical care for sexual assault survivors (desirable)
  • Registered with local Nursing/Paramedic Council.
  • Ability to lead, train, supervise and facilitate other medical staff and community health workers in their respective tasks.
  • Ability and flexibility to understand the cultural and political environment.
  • Skills to provide sensitive and appropriate medical counselling.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure in a stressful environment, displaying patience, compassion and diplomacy.
  • Ability to be innovative, flexible, adaptive, and willingness to work in challenging situations.
  • Ability to live in challenging conditions and ability to work under difficult, high pressure situations.
