icddr,b invites applications from suitable female candidates for the position of Research Assistant with HSPSD Special Activities under the Health System and Population Studies Division. The appointment will be made on a Contractual Service Agreement (CSA) basis for 6 months, which may be extended for further period depending on availability of funds and satisfactory performance.

Job profile:
Collect data on e-partograph with the objective of supporting research studies within the guidelines of project-specific field research procedures and organisational values

- Project Implementation: Receive project assignment from Principal Investigator (PI) and attend training conducted by Principal Investigator (PI) to understand project scope, questionnaire, survey methodology and timelines; perform roaster duties as per plan by supervisor; Administer questionnaire to record data on use of electronic partograph consistently and in reliable manner by using instruments such as study questionnaire, spot checking and observation techniques; Review data collection instruments for accuracy and completeness; Identify the problems of operational difficulties of data collection and communicate to PIs and supervisor; Convince respondents to provide answers to complete the questionnaire Validate collected data with supervisor; Escalate any issues to and seek guidance of supervisor to resolve issues in interacting with respondents and in collecting data; Maintain friendly liaison with counterpart for effective and seamless data collection for the project;Submit collected data to the data management team periodically and cooperate with them for ensuring data accuracy and completeness in order to support research by uncovering evidence.
- Team Support: Support colleagues to built team spirit and improve working environment; Be proactive to bring issues which might hinder and enhance the assigned tasks in order to improve the productivity of the team.

Requirements:
Education and relevant experience:
- Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery/ Medical Assistant from Medical Assistant Training School (MATS)
- 01 year of experience in relevant field
