Job Description / Responsibility:
- This position is primarily responsible for ensuring regular identification and referral of young infants with SAM (Severe Acute Malnutrition) for C-MAMI piloting activities at community level.
- S/he will be also responsible for orientation of community groups and support groups (CG/CSG) for supporting referral activities, ensuring quality data from birth registration, enter into database system and regular follow-up of the sick infants at household level.
- S/he will work closely with MOH&FW frontline health service providers for regular screening of eligible infants at EPI centers, satellite clinics and community clinics.
- Responsibility include, mobilizing community particularly parents and/or relatives to identify sick children and timely referral.
- Thus s/he will undertake extensive travel to field site-EPI sites, community clinics & villages.
Job Nature: Contractual.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor Degree/ Preferably Diploma in Medical Science or Nursing Science and/or Paramedics.
Experience Requirements: At least 2 year(s).
Job Requirements:
- At least 2 years' experience in project implementation at the community level, preferably in nutrition or research, experience in working with MOH&FW will be an added advantage.
- S/he is expected to have basic understanding on health/nutrition research work and good understanding on child health & nutrition situation of coastal area like Barisal.
- Good communication skill, willingness & able to drive motor cycles and should have valid driving license.
