Job Context
- The Senior Health Manager will be responsible for all health programs in Cox's Bazaar. (S)He will be the focal point for IRC's health services in the field supporting program implementation to ensure the delivery of high quality primary healthcare services. (S)He will be responsible for programmatic, operational, financial, and staffing aspects for the health team, as well as representation with key actors in the field including the Ministry of Health, UN agencies and other NGOs.
- Reports to: ERT Health Coordinator
- Location: Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh
- Duration: Initially 4 weeks with possible extension
- • Oversee the implementation of quality emergency health programs and ensure that program goals, objectives, targets and activities are met, as stated in the donor agreed project work plans and log frames.
- • Conduct regular monitoring visits to the various project sites, ensuring that projects utilize standardized protocols, policies and guidelines, as outlined by the Ministry of Health and WHO.
- • Identify technical quality and/or other implementation issues, and provide solutions and follow-up to ensure projects are on track to meet goals and are consistent with established best practices..
- • Ensure training and ongoing capacity building opportunities for staff on technical and project management skills.
- • Manage and oversee all health grants, and work with the health coordinator to develop work, spending and procurement plans for all projects.
- • Oversee the collection and timely reporting of program data and indicators for all health programs in line with IRC`s guidelines and according to internal and donor requirements, ensuring timely collection and entry of program data.

- Health professional: doctor, medical assistant, nurse, or midwife or a Masters in Public Health
- At least 2 year(s)
- The applicants should have experience in the following area (s): Program Officer/Manager, Field or Project Organizer
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO
- • At least 2 years experience in the management of health programs either with an NGO or government body.
- • Previous experience supervising and managing a multi-disciplinary team in a cross-cultural settings
- • Good working knowledge of language spoken by population in need, plus English language
- • Willing to live in Cox Bazar
