Job Responsibilities

Provide direct clinical care, working closely with the clinical staff to ensure the delivery of high quality comprehensive primary healthcare services.
Triage, screening and assessment of patients.
Performs basic first aid and wound care
Performs any needed neonatal and obstetric resuscitation activity.
Identifies survivors of sexual assault and refers them for registration, counselling, and care through the psychosocial and protection focal point on the mobile team
Delivery of hygiene promotion, health education and patient/caregiver counselling.
Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control measures.
Treat patients according to standard treatment protocols.
Ensure accurate recording of information in the clinic registers, and timely completion of summary reports.
Ensure wards/clinic areas are appropriately stocked with essential equipment and supplies.
Ensure patient confidentiality is respected, and that all consultations are conducted in a dignified and respectful manner.
Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and provide guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions.
Provide support and mentorship to other clinic staff, providing on-the-job training where needed
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local communities and other implementing partners
Ensure all patient consultations are documented and patient records completed.
Submit daily reports in a timely manner.
Ensure regular inventory and consumption tracking of medical drugs and supplies.
Work with relevant staff to ensure prompt requesting of medical drugs and supplies.
Consistently and proactively monitor/assess the safety and security of the team; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to Medair management and liaising with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for the health team.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop the health team.

Educational Requirements

HSC
Qualified Medical Assistant with Medical Assistant diploma
Registered with local Medical Assistant Council.

Experience Requirements

At least 2 year(s)
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
NGO

Additional Requirements

Age at least 18 years
Both males and females are allowed to apply
At least 2 years clinical Medical Assistance experience in primary healthcare.
Fluent in written and spoken English
Fluent in Bengali
Fluent in Chittagonian dialect
Self-motivated
Desire to serve the Rohingya community
Willingness to work in a remote setting
Willing to do tasks outside of Job Description when asked
Enjoys working in a team environment
Respectful towards other cultures
Able to establish relationships easily
Good communication skills
Respectful when talking to beneficiaries and other staff
Ability to lead, train, supervise and facilitate other health staff and community health workers in their respective tasks.
Ability and flexibility to understand the cultural and political environment and to work well with the local health representatives.
Diploma or certificate in public health
Training in humanitarian standards
Previous work within a natural disaster or mass casualty incident is an added advantage.
Previous experience and training in sexual gender based violence and clinical care for sexual assault survivors
Previous work with a humanitarian NGO
Fluent in Rohingya language
Good interpersonal skills
