Job Context:
- Concern Worldwide is a non-governmental, international, humanitarian organization dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world`s poorest countries. With its head quarter in Ireland, Concern has been working in Bangladesh since 1972. Concern is initiating a project titled `Nutrition interventions for children under-five years and pregnant and lactating women (PLW) in Camp 20E and Disaster affected areas of Rohingya Refugee Settlements of Ukhiya and Teknaf, Cox`s Bazar.`
- Currently, Concern is looking for suitable candidate for the following position:
Job Responsibilities:
- The Paramedic is responsible for anthropometric measurement, diagnosis, micronutrient and RUTF distribution for target population including caregivers of children under five, adolescent girls and pregnant and lactating Rohingya Refugee women in Cox's Bazar. He/she will be also responsible referral of severe malnourished children for the targeted area which impact on the lives of the urban extreme poor people and results in lasting positive change.
- Screening at camp through MUAC measurement among the under five children to ensure that the nutrition component of the Nutrition in Emergency Response Project activity is delivered with maximum efficiency and professionalism
- Referring cases at nearest SAM center and Health center from camp for specific services established to ensure that the Nutrition in Emergency Response Project activity.
- Producing and maintaining records of the beneficiaries as member of the team, work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure community mobilization and referral;
- Contributing to the process of implementing quality programmes and accountability is conceptualized and effectively implemented throughout the project, and at the country programme level
Employment Status: Full-time.
Educational Requirements: A diploma or degree in paramedical science from Govt. approved institutes;
Experience Requirements: 3 to 5 year(s).
Additional Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years progressively responsible work experience in the areas of community based health and nutrition programmes
- Technical knowledge on community based health and nutrition interventions
- Experience in working with government institutions.
- Have good knowledge on Rohingya refugee programmes
Job Location: Cox's Bazar (Ukhia).
Salary: As per organisation`s policy.
